The weather protective acoustic canopy helps shield the generator from the elements while reducing operating noise to approximately 70 dB(A) at 1 metre, or 63 dB(A) at 7 metres. The complete generating set is mounted on a heavy duty fabricated steel base frame, with anti-vibration pads fitted between the engine, alternator, and frame to help isolate vibration and support smooth, stable operation.
For safer and more practical diesel storage, the ED9PYE/3 includes a fully bunded fuel tank compliant with AS 1940-2004, providing secondary containment to help retain and recover spillage if required. A battery charger is also included to help ensure the generator is ready to start when needed.
The standard auto-start control module allows the generator to be started locally or remotely and provides key monitoring and protection functions, including alternator frequency and speed sensing, generator/load power monitoring, accumulated power monitoring, overload protection, engine speed protection, run-time scheduling, battery voltage monitoring, and static battery charging. It can also be configured to operate with an Automatic Transfer Switch for automatic standby power applications.
