The Welling & Crossley ED380DSE/3 380kVA Three Phase Diesel Standby Generator is a heavy-duty power solution designed for demanding commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and essential service applications that require dependable 415V three phase backup power. Powered by a Hyundai PT126Ti turbocharged diesel engine and paired with a Crossley SLG Series single bearing, 4-pole brushless alternator, this generator is built to deliver strong standby performance when mains supply is unavailable.

Supplied as a fully integrated Welling & Crossley power generation system, the ED380DSE/3 includes a remote start/stop control system, 500 litre diesel fuel tank, weather protective acoustic canopy, and standard control starting system. This makes it well suited to larger sites requiring standby power for machinery, pumps, production equipment, commercial facilities, industrial operations, rural infrastructure, and critical electrical loads.

The complete generating set is mounted on a heavy duty fabricated steel base frame, with anti-vibration pads fitted between the engine, alternator, and base frame to help isolate vibration and support smoother operation. The weather protective acoustic canopy helps protect the generator from the elements and reduces operating noise to approximately 80 dB(A) at 1 metre, or 73 dB(A) at 7 metres.

For safer diesel storage, the ED380DSE/3 includes a fully bunded fuel tank compliant with AS 1940-2004, providing secondary containment designed to retain and recover spillage if required. A trickle charge battery charger is also fitted to help ensure the generator is ready to start when needed, with both 12V and 24V charging capability.

The standard control system supports remote or local starting with push-button start/stop and includes digital indicators for oil pressure, engine temperature, frequency, volts, and amps. Protection features include shutdown for low oil pressure and high temperature, an emergency stop button, output circuit breaker, and static battery charger. It can also be configured to operate with an Automatic Transfer Switch for automatic standby power applications.
